FOCUS – The German News Magazine

FOCUS News Magazine is the most successful innovation in magazine publishing seen during the nineties. Fourteen years after launching, FOCUS now draws 5.96 million people per week to read Germany's modern news magazine.

On 18 January 1993, Dr. Hubert Burda, together with Helmut Markwort, his editor-in-chief, succeeded in doing what no-one in the German media scene had thought possible - they successfully introduced a second news magazine.
